So you think you can RUN?

Writer: California RunnerCalifornia Runner

Getting up one day and deciding you can run, can be daunting. Considering the failed attempts the last 26 years have brought you back to this moment. Do I think I can run?

The question should be, Do I believe I can RUN? The answer is YES, I can run.

Just like everything else.

Baby Steps.

Set realistic goals and conquer.

Don't compare yourself to others.

An example of what your week should like for a novice beginner.

Monday: 1 minute jog, walk 2 minutes X10 Stretch it out.

Tuesday: repeat Monday

Wednesday: OFF

Thursday: 1 minute jog, walk 1 minute X10 Stretch it out.

Friday: Repeat Thursday

Saturday: Take a hike

Sunday: OFF

Working out the kinks the first 1-3 weeks prepares yourself for increasing the time on your feet running, preventing injury and preventing burn out. Mix up your running routes, throw some music in the ears and get moving.
